WARDROBE EDITS

A Closet That Actually Works

Styles change. Bodies change. Lives change. Your closet should keep up.

What to Expect

Wardrobe Edits were created for men who know something’s off—but don’t have the time (or patience) to fix it themselves. This isn’t about trends or buying more clothes. It’s about clarity, fit, and getting ruthless—in a good way.

The Closet Reset

We come to your home and go through your wardrobe item by item. Pants with pants. Jackets with jackets. Suits with suits. It’s a simple exercise that immediately shows what you actually own—and what you’re really wearing. Seasonal pieces get rotated out, and what’s left gets a hard look.

The Honest Assessment

Now comes the part most people avoid. Together, we ask the right questions:
Have you worn it in the last 12–18 months? Does it still fit your body and your life? Is it timeless—or just tired?

Each piece gets sorted into one of three categories:

Tailor: Worth keeping, but needs refinement

Donate: Good garments that no longer serve you

Cut: Worn out, dated, or dead weight

No guilt. No maybes. Just decisions.

The Wardrobe Plan

Once the clutter is gone, we build a clear Wardrobe Plan—what’s missing, what should be replaced, and where it makes sense to invest. Sometimes that means tailoring what you already own. Sometimes it means upgrading key pieces. Either way, the goal is a closet where everything works, nothing fights you, and getting dressed is effortless.

The Details

Wardrobe Edits are $250/hr, with most sessions lasting around two hours.

They make exceptional gifts for partners, family, or yourself, and can be booked online or through any of our showrooms.

This isn’t about having more clothes.
It’s about having the right ones.

Having a great style was never really my thing but Craig made the experience smooth and easy. Top to bottom he set me up with an amazing custom suit and shirt. He also took the time to research some shoe choices that would help compliment my custom suit. The suit fit perfect and it made me feel like a new person. I had a new sense of confidence as soon as I put it on for my wedding day. It's awe inspiring to realize how different a custom piece of clothing can make you feel.

Being a customer at Commonwealth Proper was an amazing experience, it felt as if I was in a movie. From the moment you walk in the atmosphere and decor have a very modern vibe. Everyone working there was extremely friendly. They even offer you some of their own brand of whiskey when you walk in. What makes this place even more special was that I had a pretty crazy deadline for when I needed my suit and they were still able to do exactly what I wanted in the time I needed. Everything about this place was great.

When choosing a suit for my wedding I visited dozens of retailers and custom suit makers. Ultimately I settled on Commonwealth Proper, and I'm glad that I did. It was my first experience with custom suiting, and Craig and the team did a great job on my suit and shirt. In fact, I liked the product and experience so much I went back to CMMP for a whole set of custom shirts.

We had an amazing experience designing Wedding Suits, shirts and an entire accessorized look with Commonwealth Proper! I've had custom clothing made for me in 4 different countries and this was, by far, the best experience.

Commonwealth Proper helped me to fill out my wardrobe when I worked in finance and after a switch to a new industry they offered advice for attire that better fit me in my new role. Their shirts fit well and are versatile for both social and work environments and I love their new blazers. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their products and their willingness to do what it takes to ensure good service.

Kurt was amazing during my visit to the Philadelphia Flagship location. He did one of the most important things any person in the service field can do; he listened. He never tried to up sell me on better fabrics or better buttons, he gave me selections that were in my price range and helped me with vast fabric knowledge, and even helped narrow down my choices based on my existing wardrobe.

A Wardrobe Edit for Men Who Are Done Settling for Close Enough.

Most men's closets are full of clothes that almost fit, almost work, and almost feel right. At Commonwealth Proper, a Wardrobe Edit cuts through all of it. We come to you, go through everything you own, and tell you the truth. What stays, what goes, and what needs to change. No upselling. No soft opinions.

From there, we build a clear plan. The pieces that are missing, the upgrades worth making, the wardrobe that actually fits your life and body. Whether it leads to custom clothing or just a sharper version of what you already have, you leave with clarity. That's the whole point.
